Benjamin Lopez is a writer, producer, director and founder of VientoFuego Productions. On the production realm, he served as producer of Sex, Drugs and Money, directed by Rick Rose. In 2006, he produced a series of five shorts commissioned by the state of Sonora, Mexico and directed by various directors including Rudy Joffroy. Ben also wrote, produced and directed Belladonna and Cristos, both short films that will be developed as feature projects. Ben is currently in post -production of a Spanish language feature La Venganza, a film he wrote, produced and directed. La Venganza will be distributed on DVD and broadcast on the Cine Mexicano network. Ben is currently writing Caramelo, a Spanish language feature that will begin production in late summer 2007. Based in Arizona, Mr. Lopez has played a key-supporting role in the support and coordination of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers, Latino Producers Academy. In 2004, he launched the Tucson chapter of NALIP.
