Kathy arrives in Los Angeles flat broke and with no place to live. She moves
in with Al and Fred, and turns their lives upside down. Al’s a computer programmer who hasn't had a girlfriend since the last Ice Age. Fred’s a novelist with a wall full of rejection letters and twelve cents in his checking account. Even though Kathy warns them she doesn’t get involved with her roommates, they both hit on her. Then Kevin, Fred’s unemployed, Shakespeare-spouting buddy shows up. He hits on her too. While the three guys are chasing Kathy, she’s chasing $88,000.00 in The Liberty Bell Sweepstakes. They all join the fray. The contest heats up, and so does the rivalry for Kathy's love. On the Fourth of July, they lay it all on the line. Their dreams hang in the balance.
